2006-07-26 - 10:23 p.m. I think I'm drunk again. Good lord, that's twice in one year, isn't it? But this time I've discovered the fun part of it. This is just fun and giggly - not queasy. Apparently, I need to drink Glen Livet to get to the good part. The not so fun part is that I just drove home - and I probably shouldn't have. I just had no idea how tipsy I really am. Anyway, it was my friend's 50th birthday party tonight. I called last night to ask her something and ended up speaking with her partner instead. Why are men so incredibly hopeless and dense? I ended up coaching him on what to do and what to buy. Oh, I did a good job. When she opened her present from him she kept hugging me and saying thank you, thank you. And I heard the funniest story. One of the guys there was saying that at work one day (an equipment rental place) he had someone on hold when this curvaceous blonde walked in. He picked up the phone and said: thank you for helping, can I hold you? I can't stop laughing about that. In closing I just want to say - it's not really a party until the guns come out.
