2006-11-29 - 8:16 p.m. This weather gives one an inkling into the evil genius of the white witch's spell in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe when she makes it always winter and never Christmas. Yesterday, my van was so unhappy with me after being left for 10 hours in the minus 40 degree windchill without being plugged in that I left it safe at home today and walked. It was a long, cold walk, but possibly not quite as bad as I'd anticipated. The weather had moderated somewhat during the day - only a minus 28 windchill. This is weather that makes me want to re-read Jack London or Lost in the Barrens or Robert Service. Here is one of my favorite Jack London stories - it'll send a chill down your spine. Work is being stupid again and I'm whiny about it, so I'm not going to burden you with the details.
