2006-11-30 - 7:32 p.m. My bad hormones seem to have mostly gone away and I was in love with the world again today. In love with the balmy temperture. In love with all the silly, funky touques that Canadians wear in the winter. In love with the tiny restaurant where I get lunch sometimes where there's rarely fewer than 20 or 30 people in line and where the staff move at warp speed to cook the orders and keep the line moving and still know people by name. And who cheerfully let the phone ring 30 or 40 times and when they finally answer it and get told off they yell back at the person that they're busy. In love with the colourful vintage postcards glued to every surface in the restaurant. And it totally made my day when this lady almost slid into me and a rather scary looking young man and then rolled down her window and yelled after us that she was sorry and that left us grinning at each other and saying wasn't that nice. So it turned out that he wasn't scary in the least.
