My favorite headline from the movie pages this weekend: Kids-running-amok film formulaic, yet lacking imagination.
Really? Formulaic and lacking imagination? What is the world coming to?

My house is full of pretty Christmas gifts that now I can't wait to give to people. And it's decorated - tastefully, that goes without saying. A while back whilst browsing through Ikea's Christmas stock I found tiny, miniature battery-operated lights for $1.99, so I bought them. I have a little eight inch tree and they look so cute on it. I think I need to make some more tiny decorations for it and maybe a tiny angel for the top.

Maredeath claims that she's ordered me a mail-order husband off the internet for Christmas. This is going to add a certain, um, je ne sais quoi to Christmas morning.

I remember a long time ago discussing animal dreams on here. You probably don't. Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that I have animal dreams quite frequently instead of incredibly rarely as I thought. A week or so back I dreamt about a pair of half-grown cheetah? panther? leopard? cougar? bobcat? cubs. Some sort of large cat babies anyway. I didn't know what they were. Last night, as if to clear up the confusion, I dreamt of a black panther. I won't go into the symbolism of that - my book goes on for pages about black panthers - suffice to say that it is quite interesting.

And the dream I had about the turquoise necklace seems to have presaged some shift in my liking for turquoise. I've never liked turquoise - the stone, nor the colour. The rest of my family loves it. I've often not even wanted to touch the stone and I certainly wouldn't wear the colour. But today walking into a lapidary store some turquoise was the first thing to catch my eye and I wanted some so I bought it. Strange.
