What was lost has been found.

What was stolen has been retrieved.

I just went and looked at it sitting cold and lonely in the gigantic police impound lot and I'm actually pretty upset. The ignition is hanging out, but doesn't look that bad at all. There's barely a scratch on the door where they jimmied the lock. But my seats are gone.

My two bench seats are gone. My van is a big empty shell. Everything else is there. The things I thought I would be upset at losing are still there, but it never crossed my mind that the seats wouldn't be. The guy remarked that they would be expensive to replace. How do you even replace 10-year-old seats?

It seems it was used to move stuff. And it was found in an underground parking garage. I'm betting those seats are in an apartment that is empty except for them and a wide-screen TV.

I wonder what the insurance company will say? I wonder if they will ever return my calls?

I do now have a sweet little rental Corolla that goes stupidly fast.

I feel completely wrung out from stress and anxiety.

My presents are so prettily wrapped. But then again, when aren't they? I'm hoping my sister's tree is all-white this year, since my eggplant-purple and lime-green presents would sure clash with a red tree. I should go and wrap some more presents. I think I'll make it home tomorrow. I don't think the insurance company will need me here.
