2007-01-30 - 6:56 p.m. Someone cleaning out the desk where the good for me/bad for me friend used to sit found that he'd left behind a Tool cd. I immediately confiscated it since I keep hearing that they're good, but I don't listen to the radio much so I don't hear them much. I told him I'd appropriated it and his response was: I'm glad you've found the Tool you've been looking for. I didn't bother following though on that one. (As I write this he's making dirty innuendos to me on messenger.) It made me realize that all the music I listen to right now other people have given me. I don't search out music on my own anymore; it just sort of flows into my life and I listen or not as the spirit moves me. I like that. It gives me a much wider range. I do believe I'm doing this with books too this year. Everything I've read so far someone has recommended to me. Often casually, sometimes specifically. I like this too. It gives my reading a randomness, a whatever the universe may send je ne sais quoi.
