2007-02-26 - 7:21 p.m. Yesterday, for the first time, that flower smell thing that happens to me happened when I wasn't in my vehicle. I was standing waiting for a light to change on an ugly, dirty, brown-snow, icy corner. There was a cold wind blowing around me. A wind that had obviously blown for days across snowy wastelands and picked up every icy thought the frozen tundra had exuded. Then, suddenly, the breeze was fresh and green and flower-scented. It was still icy and cold, but it was filled with spring flower smells. It followed me for half a block or so and I kept breathing gulps of it in to try and identify the flowers. I couldn't. Work is crushingly, stupidedly busy.
