2007-05-15 - 9:32 p.m. Whoa, this holiday is going way too fast already. And it's only Tuesday. I'm sure it has nothing to do with me having to go into work today for 3 hours to be trained on a project that starts the Tuesday I get back. And then tomorrow I need to go get TB tested and on Friday I have to go back to have the test read. Fine doings on my holiday. I suppose, this time, I shouldn't blab to the internets about the project. Let's just say that it involves a rather, ahem, restricted population and rather, ahem, delicate subject matter. Also, it will be, at one and the same time, majorly interesting and majorly boring. I'm betting the boredom part kicks in quickly. I'm not going on holidays anymore, because something happens to my vehicle the last day of work. Last time it got stolen, this time one of my electronic windows quit. But one of my co-workers has a boyfriend who works in a parts department so he got me the part for 40% off, and for a case of beer he and a buddy installed it for me. Damn, that was so nice of them. I'm very, very grateful. I just wish I hadn't had to shell out $260 right at this time. I'm glad it wasn't the $535 that I paid last time, but still. I went and told the bookstore I used to work at that I'd come and help out for the Harry Potter madness on July 21st. She was very grateful. I'm glad she wanted me. Harry Potter launch parties are about the most fun I've ever had in the book world, period, and I didn't want to miss the last one. I like seeing all those kids just quivering with happiness and excitement. I am very tired and I think I have to go to bed before House tonight. That's what VCRs were made for.
